Deodorizing



Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) is a "Photocatalyst", having oxidizing power stronger than ozone ion, and adsorbing power better than High Efficiency Particulate Air (HPEA) filters which house activated carbon. Based on trials performed by European and United States authoritative laboratories, the deodorizing power of a square centimeter (cm2) of photocatalyst is equivalent to about 500 times stronger than refrigerator activated carbon deodorants and 150 times stronger than the high performance activated carbon.


Bacterial / Anti-Virus


The very strong oxidizing power of Titanium Dioxide can destroy a bacteria's cell membrane, inducing leakage of the cytoplasm which results in the death of bacteria, coagulate the virus protein and inhibit its activity. In addition, the bacteria and virus suspended in the air will be captured and eliminated when they pass through a Titanium Dioxide purifier. Such efficacy can render 99.99% bacteria-free (and viral)-free.



Anti-microbial - Prevention of Mold and Mildew 


Medical studies have found that mold and mildew are the top two causes of allergic symptoms. Some molds, such as the black mold - Stachybotrys, that can be found in homes, offices and school environments, has been associated with fatal pulmonary disorders. The super-hydrophilic and anti-microbial nature of Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) will inhibit the formation of mold and mildew.




Dirt-Proof / Self Cleaning


Specially treated Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) can be sprayed onto window panes to form a thin film that is anti-fogging and heat-tolerable up to 400 degree Celsius. It is also water-stainless owing to its super-hydrophilic nature. When dust particles fall on a Titanium Dioxide treated surface, it can easily be removed by clean water. The super-hydrophilic nature of titanium dioxide, coupled with gravity, enables the dust particles to be swept away together with the flowing water stream, thereby granting the product its self-cleansing characteristic.
